Greetings and Salutations. Welcome to NibbleNoshNom. Introductions are always a little awkward, aren’t they? But there’s food involved, so that makes things easier.
So, I’m gonna start a blog. A food blog. Yeah, I’ll be the first person on the internet to do that…
I’m what they call a ‘foodie.’ Well, I guess that really depends on your definition of the term. I’m not particularly gourmet or fancy. I’m not a ‘snooty foodie.’ I just like food. And pictures of food. And talking about food.
What kind of foodie am I? Well, I’ll try anything once which leads some people to believe I’m an adventurous eater. But it’s all a lie. I’m perfectly content eating the same yummy things over and over. If my husband, the Pickle, didn’t stop me, I’d probably eat pizza every day. I DO eat a bagel everyday (file that under, This is Why You’re Fat!). I do love to experiment with new things, too.
I cook because someday I want to have the skills to come home from work and put a meal on the table for my family that is home-cooked, hearty, healthy(ish) and delicious. I want kids that I haven’t even had yet to go off to college and complain about the food because it’s not like Mom’s.
I still have a lot to learn, but so far I’ve only got two mouths to feed: mine and the Pickle’s. And we’re just regular people whose lives revolve around food because we love it, because it brings people together and because it’s the cornerstone of our lives.
